It's not a secret that early in the morning, in the winter cold, it's so hard for us to leave cozy apartments, go outside and sit in an ice car. For the vast majority of car drivers, it's just awful to get out of bed, go out into the cold and drive your frozen car to a job.

Nevertheless, progress does not stand still, and today there is an effective solution and a way out of this situation. Starting heaters of various brands and modifications are available for almost every car. These parking heaters are designed to heat the interior of your car long before you get into it. The parking heater should not be confused with a conventional interior heater, when the engine is running, it is not so difficult to warm up the interior of the car. To turn on the parking heater, you can use a timer, a remote control, or even a smartphone, they all work equally effectively.

The starting heater can be installed at the factory, at the dealership, or by the car owner himself. The main idea and advantage of this method of warming up is that you do not need to start the engine yourself, this can be done from home before you get into the car. An autonomous heater will cope with its task in exchange for approximately 1/5 of a liter of gasoline, depending on the brand of car and engine size.

What is the principle of operation of autonomous heaters? After starting, the element is heated from inside the heater. Since the heater is an electrical unit, it receives energy from an external source. At the same time, after the heater is activated, the pump forces a small amount of fuel from the fuel tank into the heating chamber, along with particles of outside air. In the same way, this happens in the internal combustion chamber of the motor. The fuel-air mixture detonates, a microexplosion occurs. As soon as the heated element reaches the desired temperature, the coolant circulating around the device begins to warm up. First, it reaches the car's heat exchanger, from where warm air is redirected through the ventilation system to the passenger compartment, and then directly to the engine. The final step in the cycle is to return fluid to the parking heater. This cycle will be repeated until the desired temperature inside the machine is reached.

Many people think that the main disadvantage of using such a unit is higher fuel consumption. First of all, regardless of the size of the cabin, the total fuel consumption for this procedure is from 1/4 to 1/2 liter. This is enough to warm up the engine and interior of your car in about half an hour. Official data diverge from 15 to 30 minutes. As soon as the desired temperature is reached in the passenger compartment, the heater switches to fuel saving mode.

There are many manufacturers of autonomous heaters on the market, starting from famous brands such as Webasto and Eberspächer, and ending with various Chinese manufacturers that sell analogues under their own brands. Such analogues are often of poor quality and have a shorter shelf life. Nevertheless, even heaters of famous brands fail over time. By type, heaters are divided into air (dry) and water (wet). Since most preheaters have commutator engines, they have all the advantages and disadvantages of this type of engine. Our store offers a wide range of repair kits and consumables for parking heater motors, such as engine commutators, copper-graphite brushes, bearings and brush holders. There are a lot of models of heaters, but often the same components are used in many motors. You can enter the name of the heater model into the search box of our store and find what is right for you. If the model you need is not found, please contact us and we will select the necessary spare parts.
